New Balance has teamed up with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to create an exclusive version of its 920 sneaker, manufactured in the U.K. Building on the success of their previous collaborations, this partnership draws inspiration from the MTA's iconic subway system, reflected in the monochromatic design of the shoe. The 920 silhouette, introduced in 2020, has already seen various iterations, including a Chinese New Year edition and a collaboration with Patta.
Handcrafted in New Balance's Flimby factory in Cumbria, U.K., the 920 features a timeless grey colorway with upgraded mesh, reflective accents, and the official MTA logo branding on the heel and inserts.
Symbolizing the seamless relationship between two historic entities, the New Balance x MTA 920 represents a shoe made in the U.K. but embraced on the streets of New York.
