Tetsu Nishiyama is a Japanese designer best known for his military-inspired label WTAPS, and its slogan of “Placing things where they should be”.
In 2015, he launched DESCENDANT with his wife and fellow designer Mikiko. It is a brand for men, women, and children, with cleaner, comfortable pieces targeted at style-forward families. The brand’s concept of “Passing down the generations through children’s observations of their parents” suggests a basic style that will not fade away with time.
DESCENDANT is currently only available in Japan, and at exclusive locations in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea.
