BEAMS is a popular select store with multiple labels under its belt. Surf&Sk8 Zine (abbreviated as SSZ) is one of them, and it was born from the inside by BEAMS staff member Kato Tadayuki, who is running the show as a buyer and the designer and director of his own line of clothing. Named after his knowledge, passion, and love for surfing and skating fashion, the label continues to gain popularity due to its thoughtful designs inspired by Tadayuki's endless archives.
When he's not doing anything fashion-related, Tadayuki is a vegetable farmer and is the 4th generation to Kato Farm.
